Twitter did something really neat this afternoon. While fixing a bug that allowed for force follows, everyone’s follower/following stats were set to 0. ZERO.

Chaos ensued. My phone rang. Justin Bieber cried.

I quickly drafted and released a group email, “This wasn’t me.”

I thought about what would happen if I had to start from scratch on all of my client Twitter accounts…daunting yes, but not impossible.

“Following 0″ became a trending topic within moments. They say that emergency situations reveal what one is really made of. If that’s the truth then I like tweeple more than I thought!
